Well.... still on the Star Wars kick.... I took my kids to see it again, and surprisingly enough, I slept through half of it. The Render and Model were done in 3D Studio Max 7. The background was done in VUE 4, and all the pstwork was done in Photoshop 7, and Photo Impact 6.... Thanks to all my friends for the support and to the Force....
Beautiful image. The texturing, as others have said is really good. What I particularly like though, is the background. The lighting on those desert platos looks really great. It would be good if there was something in the cockpit, just sorta looks like the fighter is flying itself. Either that or the droids taken over.
Thanks,
I had so many scraps on this one.... I wanted to get it all just right. I haven't been doing a lot of renders in 3D Studio Max until recently. Now that I have V7, I am wanting to learn it to my full potential....

I didn't do any work on the cockpit in the way of modeling, I was considering a mock up from my xwing, or tiefighter cockpits, but they were too different in shape, so I just opted out on the cockpit, and gave it a protective 2-way mirrored look... at least untill I model the cockpit.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
